Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority has issued the world’s first experimental flight certificate for a racing eVTOL: the Alauda Aeronautics Airspeeder Mk4. Airspeeder call it the first manned eVTOL in Australia and the first racing eVTOL anywhere — the craft moving from test article to a flight-ready racing machine.

The team have built more than ten aircraft and trained seven pilots. The Mk3 has more than 400 test flights, including tri-vehicle races on augmented-reality aerial circuits.

Dell, Intel, AWS, Telstra and IWC sit on the tech and commercial side.

“This is the Formula 1 of robotics, where safety, autonomy, and edge AI meet real-world speed.”
