Airspeeder Team New Zealand’s ground crew are getting some extra muscle. New Zealand-founded human-performance company EXXOVANTAGE has joined as an Official Team Supplier ahead of the inaugural Airspeeder International Series, Airspeeder announced on 14 September.

The company will supply occupational exoskeletons and ergonomic support to the crew during race preparation and flight operations, when aircraft prep, heavy equipment handling and repetitive manual work all happen against the clock.

The focus is its ExxoLift technology for the most physically demanding jobs, to reduce strain and help crew endurance, focus and safety. Rollout will be guided by ergonomic assessments and crew feedback, and the deal doubles as a test of how wearable tech fits into ground support for electric aviation.
